Gracenote Repair started as a hobby — the kind you fall into in high school, tinkering with factory navigation and multimedia systems out of curiosity more than anything else.
What began as tinkering turned into real skill over time. Diagnosing these units isn’t just a software reset — it means understanding the hardware itself, tracking down which internal components fail and why, and knowing how to fix them properly instead of papering over the symptoms.
Along the way, we built relationships with suppliers who could get us the hard-to-source OEM parts and boards that most repair shops can’t touch — the same interchange parts dealerships use, without the dealership markup.
That combination — real diagnostic skill plus access to genuine OEM parts — is what turned a hobby into Gracenote Repair. Today we’re based in Sacramento, California, and we repair Lexus and Toyota navigation, radio, and infotainment systems for customers across the country, mailed in and shipped back with a flat repair fee and a 1-year warranty.
Our whole reason for doing this is simple: a dealership will often quote you several thousand dollars to replace an entire multimedia unit for a problem that’s really just one failed component. We fix the actual problem instead, at a fraction of the cost.
If your system is stuck in a reboot loop, frozen, or not powering on, get in touch — there’s a good chance we can bring it back.
