Armenian-born writer Marlene Zaedyan was born in Lebanon, and her family history bears the scars of forced migration after the Armenian Genocide. Her book Nine Lives Endless Dreams: A Survivor’s Story of Genocide and War explores resilience and survival, two topics that she developed as a child growing up during the Lebanese Civil War. Outside of writing, Marlene is a happy grandma of two, a daughter, and a loving mother to two special needs kids. She is married, and her cherished puppy, Mango, lives with her. She holds several qualifications in holistic therapies, has a degree in Chinese medicine, and has been a vegetarian for more than 30 years.
